Did you know that squirrels could potentially be a danger for you and your family? While they are not necessarily dangerous in terms of attacking you, there are still some things you will need to look out for to ensure that your family is perfectly safe in your home and make sure that these squirrels will not be a danger. Let’s take a look at why squirrels could potentially pose a threat.

Chewing

Squirrels are known for their incisors. These teeth continually grow from the time that they are born and will continue throughout their life. Due to this continual growth, we see that squirrels typically try to find a way to grind these down and sharpen them. If they are in your home, you will find that the squirrels will chew through the insulation, walls and other personal items. Similarly, if they are outside, you will see that they destroy gardens, fences and more.

Carry Disease

Lots of squirrels have been known to carry diseases and parasites. This is a huge problem because they can carry anything from a virus or lice and ticks into your home, and in turn, your home could be infiltrated with this, causing obvious health risks for you and your family.

Wild Animals

While squirrels are typically fine around humans, there are some instances where they actually attack if they feel threatened. This can be extremely dangerous, especially if you have kids.
